Why do I have 4 RAM slots?
Because of easier upgradibility.
Most CPUs may not be able to properly use RAM in Quad-Channel, but will recognize the RAM and use its capacity fully, just not the most optimal way.
If you get an LGA2066 board and use 4 Core CPU then you can only use 4 of the 8 slots..
